From Larvae to Lovely

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:2

The Greek word for “transformed” is metamorpoo, meaning to change in to another form, to transfigure. It is the same word used to describe the transfiguration of Christ where His nature took on Heaven. What God has in mind for our transformation is the on-going putting off of our worldly and traumatized natures and the putting on of His Heavenly design for us.

This transformation takes place via renewal.

The Greek word for “renewal” is anakainōsis, meaning to renovate for a complete change for the better under the architecting of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will be at work architecting a God renovation of our mind.

The Greek word for mind is nous, referring to all the integrated faculties of perceiving, understanding, feeling, judging, discerning good, hating evil, assessing soberly, and considering matters with Godly Wisdom. Those are the very elements of our consciousness that abuse and trauma warped.

God through His Holy Spirit, operating in the power of The Blood of Christ, and the ordering force of His Word, wants to renovate your and my consciousness and perception of Him, ourselves, those around us, and our circumstances. He wants to clean the windows we see life through!

PRAYER

Abba Father. Please transform me in to the ambassador for Christ that You intend for me to be. Please disconfigure me from the ways of this world and configure me to The Way of Your Word. Let it be for me and my family. In Jesus Name. Amen
